Reversible Baby Romper sewing pattern – Newborn To 6 Years
This is one of the most popular sewing pattern designers for kid’s clothes, and this is one of her best-selling patterns. It’s super-popular for a reason – it’s great to sew and great to wear!
This is her ‘JUMPY’ Baby Romper pattern that is super cute, fully lined, and reversible. It comes in sizes for your baby who wears diapers (or not) and for your children up to 6 years and is a project for any beginner sewer to tackle.
You can sew this romper with stretchy material or with woven fabric, however, the designer recommends that if you use woven fabric then you should probably upsize particularly if the measurements of your child are very close to those in the chart.
We suggest a knit fabric would most likely work best as the stretch gives the little ones easy unrestricted movement (and is also more forgiving in terms of sizing and fit.)

The JUMPY Baby Romper has these features:-
- It’s reversible and fully lined
- No special seam or finishing is required as all straight seams are completely hidden inside the romper
- The leg cuffs are foldable
- Colored snaps or sew on snaps or buttons are on the simple straps. (Use Kam snaps – they rock!)
The pattern comes in ten sizes from newborn babies all the way up to to 6-year-old kids as follows:-
- Newborn-birth,
- 3 months,
- 6-9 months,
- 12 months,
- 18 months,
- 2 years,
- 3 years,
- 4 years,
- 5 years,
- 6 years.
As far as outer fabric and lining are concerned you will require:-
- The smallest size newborn = 5/8 yard (0.50m) of 44″ (110cm) or 60″ (150cm) wide,
- The largest size 6 years requires 1 1/4 yard (1.10m) of 60″ (150cm) wide.
