These DIY fabric storage baskets are very cute and super useful. They’re easy to sew and are reversible too! If you turn the basket inside out then you’ll have a totally different one!
They are great for around the home in lots of places and are particularly useful for tidying up after your kids. They are a great way to quickly clear away all the clutter. Just sweep all the mess into the basket and voila you have a clear space again!
Or if it’s you who makes all the mess as a crafter, then you’ll have tonnes of things to tidy away in these super useful baskets. These storage baskets are great to store your spools of thread, your tiny scraps, and a lot of other things. They can be made in different colors and sizes to suit your requirements. It’s great having a tidy craft room.
You can also use these DIY reversible fabric baskets to store your other household items. They’re great in the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and even on the stairs to collect items to take back upstairs when full!
They are so easy that you can make a number of them in one go.
What you will need to make a DIY Reversible Fabric Basket:-
- 1/3 of a yard of medium-weight cotton fabric for the basket outer,
- 1/3 of a yard of medium-weight cotton fabric for the basket lining,
- 1/3 of a yard of medium-weight fusible interfacing (you may use heavyweight fusible interfacing if you need a sturdier basket),
- Sewing notions,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
