This is the FREE sewing pattern for a Donut Skirt.

The designer Boo! Designs hope you enjoy filling the wardrobe of your little ones with donut skirts! This is the perfect introduction to sewing with spandex for beginner sewers. It’s described as a super quick sew, taking just approximately 10-15 minutes to cut and sew.

With this pattern, you can make a full circle skirt for maximum twirl, with a spandex waistband. You also have the option to offset the waist for nappy wearers or pot bellies.

This skirt is best-suited to non-directional fabrics, however, if you want to use directional fabrics a guide is included, including adding side seams for directional fabrics.

To sew this Donut Skirt for the fabric you should use polyester/spandex, nylon/spandex, cotton lycra.

The pattern sizes are as follows:

  • Sizes 0-14 Regular Skirt.
  • Sizes 2-14 Dress Skirt can be added to BOO! Spandex Skater Dress, BOO! Sleeved Skater Dress & BOO! Flounce Dress.
