These cozy bootie slippers will make you (and all the people you love) super happy! They’re designed to keep everyone’s feet toasty warm this winter.
The Buddy Booties are two layers of toasty fleece with your choice of ankle securement. Choose from fully encased elastic, drawstring ties, or adjustable encased elastic with toggles. They are easy to slip on and off and are perfect for all your merry-making and beyond!
This is the perfect project for a beginner sewer.
The Buddy Booties are drafted for two layers of fleece with 10% mechanical horizontal stretch. Other fabrics such as Minky Sweatshirt Fleece, or mid to heavyweight French Terry are also good choices. If you choose to use a different sort of fabric, you will need something mid to heavyweight, stable, and with a bit of 2-way stretch. Other types of fabric will work as long as the stretch requirements are met, but your final garment may not fit as intended. You may want to add a layer of grippy non-slip fabric to the bottom of your foot.
This listing is for a downloaded pdf sewing pattern, not a finished product. Your downloads will include a professionally drawn pattern with trimless pages (now with diamond corner markers) and layers.
The pattern pieces included are formatted for 8.5 by 11, A4 (typically outside of the US), A0 printers, and projector files. Please remember to NOT use the A4 pattern unless you are located outside of the US and own an A4 printer and A4 paper. The A0 pattern is specifically designed for large format printing. You have permission from 5 out of 4 Patterns to have this pattern printed at your local copy shop.
The separate tutorial download includes hyperlinks to help you navigate to whichever options you’re interested in doing. It also includes professionally drawn images for each tutorial step as well as pictures for steps that might be a little tricky. The designer takes great pains to make the tutorial as clear as possible! They’ve even included links to their YouTube channel, where you can find video tutorials on certain steps.
And there is a foot measuring guide for getting the best fit!
