Upcycled Baby Shorts and Bloomers FREE sewing pattern (3-18 months)
This is the Upcycled Baby Shorts and Bloomers FREE sewing pattern.
Upcycling/ recycling is always a great thing to do. To make a pair of these Baby Shorts and Bloomers you’ll need the hem of any shirt, T-Shirt, pants, or shorts.
With this fast sewing project the designer, Heather from Heather Handmade, made both sets of bloomers with tee shirts, while the denim shorts were made from a cut-off of pants. The white shorts were made from the hem of a white embroidered tunic.
So this pattern is all about reusing old materials. The designer loves sewing cute little clothing for babies!
Here’s an 8-minute long YouTube video from the designer showing you how to upcycle a T-Shirt into shorts for kids.
What you will need for this upcycle project:-
- Hem area of pants, shorts, or a tee shirt,
- 1/4″ elastic for the hem,
- 3/4″ elastic for the waist,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
