Ruffled Halter FREE sewing pattern

This is the Ruffled Halter sewing pattern that is free to everyone. It was originally designed for an issue of Stitch Magazine. The designer, oliver + s, says this free pattern is very easy to make and includes some unique construction methods. The ruffles are all cut on bias, which gives them a nice drape. The bias also means the bottom edge of the ruffle can be left unfinished so it will soften and fray just a bit over time, without getting all messy.

The ruffles can be made with either a single, matching fabric or with multiple fabrics. it’s definitely a case of letting your imagination be your guide.

This adorable halter has a simple pull-on style that’s easy and fun for summer, featuring a casing formed by the first ruffle for a clean, uncluttered finish. You can also change things up a bit by making each ruffle with a different fabric, or cut the ruffles from striped fabric with the stripes going in different directions.
