The designer says the perfect choice of fabric for her Sansa Pinafore Dress is light to medium weight woven such as quilting cotton, linen, chambray, or corduroy. She goes onto say that if you are using medium weight fabric (corduroy, denim, etc) use a heavy duty thread. Delicate threads might snap when gathering fabric. You may use a stable knit fabric as well but be careful not to stretch it at any point while sewing. She recommends using a walking foot to prevent stretching. You do not need a serger for this pattern.
The pattern comes in lots of sizes from 0-3 months to 7-8 years.
