Emma Rose Dress sewing pattern (2-8yrs)

This is a Girls Dress Sewing pattern for The Emma Rose Dress.

It’s a very pretty dress with a soft and flowing design, and ruffles have been added as they are a little girl’s fashion essential.

This is a perfect dress for special occasions like a flower girl, a junior bridesmaid, or any “dress up” opportunity. Or if you like you can choose a casual fabric for a summer “fun in the sun” dress. And in the colder months top it off with a sweater so that you can still wear your new favorite dress.

The Emma Rose Dress has a knee-length gathered skirt and a fitted, fully lined bodice. The shoulder straps are not ruffled-but flat. The two ruffles are sewn into the neckline seam–not an elastic neckline.

A detached sash at the waist adds to a flattering fit, and the sash tie ends are plenty long for a lovely bow in the back. There”s a zipper in the back seam.

The designer, The Freckled Pear, has provided pattern templates for all pattern pieces except the skirt front and back – for which a “Skirt Cutting Dimensions Table” is included. Seam and hem allowances are included in the pattern pieces, and imperial and metric measurements are provided throughout.

The designer rates her project as suitable for an advanced beginner to an intermediate seamstress.
