Here’s a great FREE sewing pattern for a Sleeveless Baby Bodysuit from a super talented and super generous designer – Small Dreamfactory.
Whenever we do a post for this designer the interest is phenomenal. They always make great patterns that are nearly always simple to sew and lots of the projects are even FREE to download.
For this project, the designer also provides paid patterns for larger sizes.
For this great looking bodysuit you will need the following:-
- Jersey knits, 60″ wide. 1/2 a yard for newborns to 3 months. 1-yard for 9-months to 4-years,
- Ribbing,
- Three Snaps,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
The designer points out that when working with knits, it is important not to stretch or pull the fabric while sewing. You should also use a stretch needle and a stretch stitch. In this pattern, all seams are sewed with a twin needle.
This FREE sewing pattern comes in three sizes, as follows:-
- Newborn (0-1 month),
- 1-2 months,
- 2-4 months.
The paid sewing pattern comes in seven sizes, as follows:-
- 4-6 months,
- 6-9 months,
- 9-12 months,
- 12-18 months,
- 2T,
- 3T,
- 4 years.
