Simple Shorts FREE pattern and tutorial
|Have you noticed that your little one is in need of a new pair of shorts? When the weather is hot we all can’t get enough of shorts! I don’t know about you, but my little one loves playing outside thus I need a new pair every day (or maybe even more often).
So here is a fabulous Simple Shorts sewing pattern from Allison of Freshly Completed that is totally FREE and very easy to sew! They are quick to sew, taking only about 45 minutes or less.
I think you will be most happy with how these shorts will turn out. They’re simple to make, functional, and will fit your little one just right.
- This pattern is made for the lovely girl in the photos, who is a size petite 2 and a half.
- For a bigger size, the designer says you can add a 1/4 inch on all sides. You can use a pair of her existing shorts to help.
You can either make these shorts with pockets or choose to skip the pockets. I personally love them with pockets, I think it’s both lovely and a practical feature.
What’s needed for a pair of these Simple Shorts:-
- 1/2 yard of cotton fabric,
- Elastic,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
