The Sahara dress sewing pattern is a best-seller for Bella Sunshine Designs and for good reason. To start, it’s a knit dress which means that it’s sewn in stretch fabric. So not only is a stretch dress easier and more forgiving to fit and you don’t have to get exactly the right size, but it also means the dress will last for longer, and you’ll get a bit more wear out of it before the lucky wearer grows out of it.
Even better, this pattern is FULL of options. You can make the dress, a tunic length or a top with a peplum, all from the same pattern. Add on all the sleeve options too and this one pattern could make a whole wardrobe full of different designs.
The design features a pretty low scoop front and back, a fully lined bodice, as well as several sleeve options – sleeveless, short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, and long sleeves. The dress has a full circle skirt that your child will love to twirl.
The design comes with three lengths; top length (hits at the hips), tunic length (hits mid-thigh), and dress length (hits just above the knees). It is a perfect dress, every day and all year round!
Materials needed for this pdf sewing pattern include 4-way stretch knit fabric with at least a 50% stretch but no more than 75% stretch. We recommend a blend of at least 5% spandex/lycra for a good recovery.
