You have two sizes to choose from – Toddler size and Standard size. The creator of the pattern has made a detailed description of the size of the completed horse toy:

Size of completed pony and horse:

Toddler:

  • 26″ tall
  • The dowel is 7/8″ diameter
  • Weighs about 1 pound
  • The head is 8″ from the base of neck to the top of the head (excluding ears) and 8″ from the nose to neck and 4″ wide
  • Ideal age range up to about 3½ to 4 years old (varies by child).

Standard:

  • 40″ tall. The dowel can be cut to a shorter length if you want to
  • The dowel is 1″ diameter
  • Weighs about 2 pounds
  • The head is 12″ from the base of neck to the top of the head (excluding ears) and 12″ from the nose to neck and 6″ wide
  • The ideal age range is around 3½ to 7+ years old (varies by child).
