In the designers home town, they celebrate a Strawberry Days festival every summer. There’s a Strawberry Days parade where they throw out candy (sweets) to all the little ones as the floats, bands, and mascots go by.
She thought this little fun basket would be perfect for her little girl to collect her candy in. It’s definitely a small child-size basket but you could easily make it larger (or smaller) by printing the pattern at a different scale.
What’s needed to make a Little Girl’s Fabric Strawberry Basket:-
- ¼ yard of red cotton fabric,
- ½ a yard or two fat quarters of green cotton fabric,
- An 8.5” by 26.5” piece HeatnBond Fusible fleece,
- An 9” by 26.5” piece of HeatnBond Lightweight interfacing. Or use a half-yard if it’s 20″ wide or ¼ yard if it’s wider,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
