What you will need to make a Kids Cardigan:-

  • Knit fabric for the main body. Most medium weight knits will work. 3/4 of a yard for sizes to 18-24M, 1-yard for sizes 2-3T to 5-6T,
  • Knit fabric for waistband and cuffs. Rib-knit or a stretchy medium-weight jersey will do. 3/4 of a yard for all sizes,
  • Lightweight fusible interfacing for the button placket. 0.12 yards for all sizes,
  • Five buttons,
  • Basic sewing supplies,
  • A sewing machine or an overlock machine / Serger.
