Baby Zip Suit sewing pattern (Preemie to 6yrs)

This is the Baby Zip Suit pdf sewing pattern (Preemie to 6yrs) from the designer Brindille and Twig.

This is a cozy little one piece zipper coverall pattern with a number of options.

You have a optional gusset at inseam, optional mitts on hands and feet as well as a long and short sleeve style.

These are perfect to make for newborns and as an awesome gift.

This sewing project is rated by the designer as suitable for intermediate sewers.

What’s needed to make a Baby Zip Suit:-

  • Knit fabric: Light to medium weight jersey recommended,
  • Ribbing fabric: similar weight to main fabric. Rib knit or stretchy jersey works well,
  • Zipper for front. The designer recommends a zipper by the yard in size #3 or #5. You can also buy a zipper and trim the bottom to length. You will need zipper stops for the top if using a zipper by the yard,
  • Basic sewing supplies,
  • A sewing machine. An Overlock machine / Serger is useful but if you don’t own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
