The pattern for this bunting is a little bit different. The designer went for a playful ‘country’ and nature look, also trying to do something that appeals to both genders. The bunting has two kinds of flags, square ones with appliques and some knotted ties in between. Each side of the bunting has a different fabric. It’s a simple and charming style that is perfect for nursery decor.

The designer has included lots of different applique designs for you to choose from as well as the pattern sheet and instructions. We love the hand stitched edges to the designs. Use a couple of strands of embroidery floss for a bold look.

This is the perfect pattern for sewers to use up scraps from other projects.

The bunting will be about 2 1/8 yards (2 metres) long and the flags are 4 by 5 inches (10 by 12 cm). You can of course add and repeat as many of the flags, elements and designs and you like, to get something that is truly unique and special to you.
