This is a festive little handbag that is cute, but simple and useful. It’s a petite size and has a whimsical ribbon bow which makes it quite dainty. This would be ideal to sew for a cute little girl’s purse.
The bag is a basic tote shape but has a handy partitioned side pocket and magnetic snap closure. It can hold your phone, wallet, keys, and other critical purse contents just as well as the designer’s bigger bags too.
For a festive look, the designer added a jolly redlining and a very festive outer fabric. It’s a cotton fabric but it also has a PUL coating on the backside to make it water-resistant – ideal for snowy days out and about.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A DAINTY HANDBAG TOTE BAG:
- ½ a yard of each of outer fabric and lining,
- ½ a yard of each of ultra-firm sew-in stabilizer and fusible fleece,
- One magnetic snap,
- Optional – a 10″ piece of double-fold bias tape,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
