Today we have a very lovely dress pattern for you from Lindsay Wilkes of The Cottage Mama. It really is very cute and adorable. Your girl will have so much fun in it! The fabric is designed with the cutest little strawberries that just scream summertime! You can buy some similar summer fabric or just go with what you have at home.
The design is so simple, and even if you are a beginner sewer, this is the perfect pattern for you! There is a little bit of gathering to do but if you have not done it before it’s a great skill to learn. The dress is perfect for both indoors and outdoors and will help your girl to stay cool on those hot summer days. Also, it’s very easy to dress and undress which always comes in handy.
The pattern comes in four sizes from 12 months to 4 years.
What you will need to make a Summer Picnic Dress:-
- 1 – 1.5 yards of fabric (cotton, seersucker, linen, lined eyelet, denim, etc),
- 1/2 yard – 3/4 yard of rickrack or other trim,
- Basic Sewing Supplies,
- The Summer Picnic dress pattern,
- A sewing machine.
