This is the Racerback Romper pdf sewing pattern from the designer Elemeno Patterns.

Now’s your chance to sew up this adorable romper that has a snap crotch. The designer says like all of my patterns, it’s a quick and easy sew, very comfy for the little one, but still stylish and professional.

The designer rates her sewing project as suitable for beginner sewers. In fact all of her patterns are designed for beginner sewers who do not have much experience.

This downloadable pattern comes in EIGHT sizes as follows:-

  • Premie,
  • Newborn,
  • 0-3 months,
  • 3-6 months,
  • 6-12 months,
  • 12-18 months,
  • 18-24 months,
  • 2T-3T.

Racerback Romper sewing pattern (Preemie to 2-3T)

What’s needed to make a Racerback Romper:-

  1. Stretch fabric of your choice,
  2. Main fabric – ½ yard for sizes premie to 0-3 months, ¾ yard for 3-6 months to 2-3T (this is enough for the lining as well if you do not want to use a separate fabric),
  3. Lining fabric – ¼ yard for sizes premie to 12-18 months, ½ yard for 18-24 months to 2-3T,
  4. Basic sewing supplies,
  5. A sewing machine.

Racerback Romper sewing pattern (Preemie to 2-3T)

The designer says the model in the photo is Nicolo’ who is in the 15th percentile for his age (he’s a slim guy). He is 12 months old, wearing size 6-12 months. The length is just about snug on him, but in terms of width it fits perfectly.
