This is the Peachy Dress and Playsuit sewing pattern, which is a versatile pattern with many possible options. It’s ideal for advanced beginner to intermediate sewers.
This cute toddler/girls romper and dress sewing pattern is the perfect summer pattern for toddlers to teens! It has more than five-plus styles in one pattern. The designer actually shows you how to make five versions of the pattern but many more options are possible by mixing together the pattern parts and using trims and fabrics to create your own unique styles.
The five versions of the pattern that the designer shows you are as follows:-
1. Basic Dress.
2. Basic Playsuit with long or short pants.
3. Dress, Playsuit, or Romper with shoulder frills and elastic neckline.
4. Pillowcase Dress or Top.
5. Separate Shorts.
The designer, Felicity Patterns, has also included two pocket options.
The designer has included in the pattern options for shoulder frills with an elastic neckline, two styles of pockets, and separate shorts length pattern. The tutorial shows how to make minor adjustments to the pattern including for a simple pillowcase dress or top. Trims like lace edging, piping, binding, and rickrack braid can be added for a special touch. Any combination of a skirt, long pants, or shorts can be used with the bodice.
The basic dress or playsuit is simple and quick to make and ideal for the novice seamstress, who has some experience. Only plain sewing skills are required. The designer emphasizes that you should pay careful attention to the correct seam allowances and neatness is important. You should follow the sewing tutorial closely. If you do not have a serger /overlocker then you should use the zigzag stitch on your machine to finish the edges of the seams.
This pattern is made to fit children from 2 to 14 years. The pattern comes in the following sizes:

The designer has included a size chart in centimeters and inches. The designer would like to point out that children over 10 years can vary greatly in measurement depending on the stage of their development.
The elastic waist and drawstring or elastic neckline mean the fit is flexible and the designer has added an extra size 16 to expand the sizing.
Suitable for light wovens and minimal stretch knit fabrics, as follows: medium weight and lightweight cotton e.g. poplin, homespun and similar fabrics are best. Minimal stretch knits e.g. cotton single knit jersey are also suitable.
The pattern file includes a very detailed sewing tutorial with step-by-step photos. The computer made digital pattern comes as a color-coded, full-size range nest with seam allowances included. Instructions for printing and assembling the pattern are included. The pattern can be printed on a desktop printer using 8.5″ by 11″ / A4 size paper or in the USA Letter size paper. All seam allowances and cutting instructions are marked on the pattern pieces.
