This is a toy sewing pattern and instructions that is designed to make a set of four soft toys, animal plushies. You’ll be able to make an elephant , a kangaroo, a giraffe and a lion. All fabulous animals that got a ride on Noah’s Ark.

The Elephant, Kangaroo, Giraffe and Lion are great for sensory play.

The designer says that these toy plushies are easy to make as they are sewn on the outside. The toys feature tactile textures and flappy bits – great as fidget toys / sensory toys / sensory play for children who need to fidget to stay calm or concentrate, such as those with autism, special needs and sensory kids.

What’s needed to make the Elephant, Kangaroo, Giraffe and Lion:-

  • Fabric printed with the animals from the Ruth Maddock Makes shop at spoonflower.com.
  • Buy one fat quarter of any stretch fabric 56″ (142 cm) wide. The designer used the organic cotton knit ultra.
  • OR use oddments of any stretch fabric for each of the animals.
  • You will also need oddments of ribbon for the Giraffe and small quantity of knitting wool for the Lion and a small amount of stuffing.
  • Sewing kit including straight stitch sewing machine.
  • Matching polyester sewing thread.
  • Stretch sewing machine needles. The designer says you should change these needles frequently.

When you purchase this pattern the PDF downloads include the pattern and sewing instructions which can be printed on either A4 or US letter size by adjusting your printer paper settings. All printer settings should be set to 100%.
