The designer has made a simple and fun project that will help you create something totally adorable. There is only thing better than having a unicorn to cuddle, and that is having a unicorn to sew, and this sewing project will give you both!
The designer rates her project as straight forward enough for beginners (with perhaps a little experience or at least a helper) and also fun enough to give an experienced sewist an enjoyable satisfying project to create. The pattern is also easy to customize with your own unique flair. You could try using different materials for the mane and tail, and try embroidering your own style of eyes, and even try adding a blanket or felt flowers! As the designer says – the possibilities are endless.
In order to make a Magical Unicorn you will need to be able to sew around curves and layers and sewing darts. Some simple handsewing and face embroidery are also needed. The designer says her project should take an advanced beginner about two hours to complete. Directions to make the horn can be found on the designers blog HERE.
When you have finished making your very own Magical Unicorn it will measure approximately 12” long by 14” (18” with horn!) tall by 4” wide.
To make a Magical Unicorn you will need 1/2 a yard of cotton fabrics, felt, polyester fiberfill, and embroidery floss.
