Lucy Dress sewing pattern (6/9mths to 8yrs) This is the Lucy Dress pdf sewing pattern from the designer Paper Doll Pattern Co.

This is a relaxed fit tiered dress with ruffle detail on the lower tier.

This pattern comes in two syles. Style A has short raglan sleeves and button back closure. The neckline is finished with self bias binding.

While Style B is sleeveless with a gathered front and back neckline, twill tape straps, and pulls over the head.

The designer rates her pattern as suitable for intermediate sewers or experienced beginner sewers who are ready to level up.

The designer recommends for the fabrics that you should use light to medium weight linen, cotton lawn, cotton or rayon poplin, double cotton gauze.

As far as sizing is concerned the designer patterns are designed to fit an above average sized child (around the 75th percentile) for the year that matches their age. For example, if the child is an above average-sized 18 month old, a size 1 year will still have some room to grow. In most cases there is no need to size up unless the child is at the very top end of the growth charts. If the child is small, do consider sizing down, or expect that the fit will be generous.

Please note that this is a downloadable pdf pattern where you can print at home on A4 or US letter. There’s a AO/copy shop file also included and the designer would like to point out that the pdfs are not layered.
