Knotted Baby Turban FREE sewing tutorial
This is the Knotted Baby Turban FREE sewing pattern from the amazing designer Kimberly from Sweet Red Poppy. Kimberly based this FREE pattern on another of her FREE patterns, the Double Top Knot Baby Hat (choose either one or two top knots).
This lovely project is so easy to make, and sure does look adorable! Kimberly says once you make one, you won’t want to stop! Just look at all the cuteness. She always keeps a few of these hats on hand for baby showers because they make such a great gift!
Baby hats are incredibly adorable, but they also serve a very important purpose. Keeping a new baby’s head nice and warm is important and this cute little turban is the perfect way to do that.
This tutorial has been updated to include a downloadable sewing pattern in SIX sizes as follows:-
- Newborn,
- 3-6 months,
- 6-12 months,
- 12-18 months,
- 18-24 months,
- 2 years.
What is needed to make a Knotted Baby Turban:-
- Knit Fabric (the designer recommends 95% Cotton 5% Lycra),
- Eloflex Thread (this is the designer’s secret to avoiding popped seams),
- Scissors or Rotary Cutter and Mat,
- Clips or Pins,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
If you are using a fabric with a lot of stretch, Kimberly recommends sizing down on this pattern for a snug fit.
