Kid's Mia Shorts and Pants sewing pattern (Size 0-3mths to 14)

This is the Kid’s Mia Shorts and Pants pdf sewing pattern from the designer 5 Out Of 4.

The Kids’ Mia Shorts and Pants are the perfect transition piece for fall and spring. With a wide leg and pull-on waist, these are easy to fit and easy to sew. You’ll be exploring ALL the apparel-woven fabric in no time.

The Kids’ Mia Shorts and Pants include:

  • Multiple inseam lengths for shorts, Capri, and long pants cut lines,
  • Patch front pockets,
  • Mid-rise,
  • Optional drawstring.

The designer rates her project as suitable for beginner sewists and this project has been designed for light to medium weight apparel woven fabric. What is apparel woven? The designer is glad you asked! These fabrics typically come in 56″ wide and are sold at popular online places such as Mood Fabrics and Fabric.com. Stores such as JoAnn and Hobby Lobby have some too! The designer got really nice chambray from Hobby Lobby and the drape is beautiful! The Mia Shorts and Pants will work with flannel and quilting cotton too, but the drape will be very different (Drape is how it hangs on the body). Quilting cotton will be a lot stiffer and apparel woven will look flowy.
