FREE Sweatshirt sewing pattern and tutorial (Newborn-2T)
Here’s a really nice sewing pattern and tutorial to make this lovely Sweatshirt. The pattern for each of the sizes newborn to 2T are FREE.
This sweatshirt closes with two snaps at the front for size newborn through to 2T to make it easy to put the sweatshirt on.
Please remember when working with knits, it is important not to stretch or pull the fabric while sewing. Also, use a stretch needle and a stretch stitch. In this pattern, all seams are sewed with a twin needle.
The pattern comes in lots of sizes, with US Newborn to US 2T being free, while the patterns for 3T through to 15 years can be purchased through the designer’s shop HERE.

- US Newborn / EU size 56 = free,
- US 3 months / EU size 62 = free,
- US 6 months / EU size 68 = free,
- US 9 months / EU size 74 = free,
- US 12 months / EU size 80 = free,
- US 18 months / EU size 86 = free,
- US 2T / EU size 92 = free,
- 3T = shop,
- 4 years = shop,
- 5 years = shop,
- 6 years = shop,
- 7 years = shop,
- 8 years = shop,
- 9 years = shop,
- 10 years = shop,
- 11 years = shop,
- 12 years = shop,
- 13 years = shop,
- 14 years = shop,
- 15 years = shop.
What you will need to make this Sweatshirt:-
- Interlock knit fabric:
– 50 cm by 150 cm (size newborn – 6Y).
– 100 cm by 150 cm (size 7Y – 11Y).
– 150 cm by 150 cm (size 12Y – 15Y). - Ribbing fabric,
- Two snaps (for sizes newborn through 2T),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
