Here’s a hybrid all-in-two cloth diaper sewing pattern named the Espen Hybrid AI2 Cloth Diaper. Besides this cloth diaper being eco-friendly the sewing pattern is also FREE.
This fabulous eco cloth diaper is best made with a quick-dry or mesh lining. The pattern has been designed to work with lay-in liners. Liner pattern not included.
The pattern comes in just one size, but the cloth diaper is adjustable for babies weighing 8 to 30 pounds (approximately) so there is plenty of space for growth.
No Serger is required, all you need is a sewing machine that can do a zig-zag and a straight stitch.
What materials are needed to make an Espen Hybrid AI2 Cloth Diaper:-
The designer says use PU waterproof fabric for the cover, and a quick-dry or mesh fabric for the lining. Make sure to research fabrics before purchasing, especially for the lining as the fabric will be next to the baby’s skin.
PU waterproof fabric = 5/8 of a yard of fabric (minimum 18″ wide).
Lining fabric = 5/8 of a yard of fabric (minimum 23″ wide).
The pdf sewing pattern includes instructions/tutorial with real step-by-step photos and detailed steps including what you will need. The pattern size is Adobe Acrobat Layer compatible.
The pattern is compatible with all standard print paper sizes (A4, A3, US Letter, and Legal). Once you receive the file, you will print it from your home printer. It will print on multiple sheets that will need to be taped together. The designer has tried to minimize the headache by including lots of colors/markers when piecing together.
