Dino Hat FREE sewing tutorial
|This is a great winter hat for your little one. It’s called the Dino Hat and the sewing tutorial is free.
Why is it called the Dino Hat? It’s obviously short for dinosaur and those pretty red triangles are just like the upright plates on a Stegosaurus.
To make this warm hat the designer used fleece which is warm and doesn’t fray, which means no finishing seams, and no ironing required. You got to be happy with that!
When you make one of these hats it will take no time at all. The talented and generous designer drafted the pattern, cut everything, and sewed it all in just one hour!
We agree with the designer when she says – I think it turned out super cute, the dino look is perfect for a little boy and it should keep his head and ears warm this winter. And I think my little guy likes it too!
This is a great project for a beginner sewer.
What you will need to make a Dino Hat:-
- 1/4 of a yard of fleece,
- A bit of contrasting fleece for the dino points (upright plates),
- A sewing machine,
- If you make your own pattern you will need a ruler, paper, and a marker. If your little ones head is 19″ like the designer’s son then you can download the pattern from the designers tutorial.
Please note that this is not a free pattern unless your little ones head is 19″. It’s a free tutorial which shows you how to make a simple free pattern to make a Dino Hat. You can download the free tutorial from the Stitched By Crystal site by clicking on the red button below.
