Clementine, girls dress, maxi and top pattern
Don’t you just love little girls in maxi dresses? When they dress up in long skirts it makes them look so so elegant. The Clementine Maxi, Dress, & Top is a really great sewing pattern. As the designer says it makes the smallest of girls feel big like their mom.
This adorable dress features a fitted, fully lined bodice with a scooped neckline. There are two skirt options:-
- a simple skirt in top, dress and maxi lengths,
- a banded skirt in both dress and maxi lengths.
The pattern comes with both a sleeveless option as well as three sleeve lengths:-
- short,
- 3/4,
- long.
Whichever option you choose we are sure your little angel is going to look fabulous in her Clementine Dress.
The designer recommends these materials for her sewing pattern:
- 4-way stretch knit fabric with at least a 50% stretch but no more than 75% stretch. A blend of at least 5% spandex/lycra for a good recovery.
- A lightweight spandex/lycra for the lining. Avoid loose knits (they tend to stretch and sag and do not have a good recovery). Avoid also 2-way stretch widthwise knits.
- Recommended fabrics include cotton lycra, rayon blends, and double brushed poly.
- Use clear elastic to stabilize the garment.
- Four-way stretch interfacing is also helpful to stabilize the facing neckline, but not required.
This sewing project is perfect for a confident beginner sewer and the pattern comes in lots of sizes from 6-month babies to Girls 12.
