Children’s Chin Strap Hat sewing pattern (5 sizes)

This is a Children’s Chin Strap Hat sewing pattern that comes in five sizes for kids from 0 to 8 years. These fleece hats with a chin strap can be made lined or unlined.
With this fun beginner sewing pattern, you will have detailed instructions showing you how to make animal styles including Chicken, Dinosaur/Dragon, Bee (or other bug or alien), and a plain cozy hat with or without a fleece pompom.
Materials needed:-
- ½ a yard of 60″ polyester fleece fabric will make up to three hats with scraps left over,
- Scraps of fleece for a beak, scales, etc,
- Polyester thread recommended,
- Small piece of sew-in-hook-and-loop tape or 1 or 2 size 20 press-in snaps,
- Optional ¼ of a yard of cotton knit with a minimum 25% stretch for a lined hat. Fleece can also be used for a liner.
The sewing pattern comes in five sizes (heads 15″ to 22″) as follows:-
- 0-3 months,
- 3-12 months,
- 1-3 years,
- 2-6 years,
- 4-8 years.
