Boy’s Bib Sewing Pattern Free & Tutorial

Sew Crafty Me has made a fun and classy sewing pattern to show off your child’s formal side with a tie & bow tie bib. This adorable pattern comes with a tutorial with tons of pictures to show you what to do every step of the way.

The bib has a velcro strap for easy on and off, and they are so fun and quick to make, you could make one for every day of the week and never worry about not having a clean bib again.

The designer does suggest using an absorbent fabric and gives options below.

Tie-Bib

*Note: The pattern can be used to sew bibs for a 3-month-old to a 2-year-old.

Materials Required

  • Cotton Fabric for the bib front- I fat quarter (18” x 21”).
  • A scrap of solid fabric in a contrasting color for the tie.
  • Fabric for the bib back (chenille, minky or flannel) -I fat quarter.
  • Velcro for closure.
  • Fabric marking pen.
  • Sewing Notions.

Bow-Bib Sewing Pattern

Materials Required

  • Cotton Fabric for the bib front- I fat quarter (18” x 21”).
  • A scrap of solid fabric in white color for the trim.
  • Fabric for the bib back (chenille, minky or flannel) -I fat quarter.
  • Scrap of red fleece for the bow.
  • Scrap of red felt for the faux buttons
  • Velcro for closure.
  • Fabric marking pen.
  • Sewing notions.
