The designer has made this pattern for woven fabric only, which can be quilting cotton, chambray, or any light to medium weight cotton. As far as how much fabric you need, it depends on what width of fabric you choose. If you go for 45” wide fabric then for size Preemie to 9-12 months you’ll need a ¼ yard of fabric. And for sizes 12-18 months to 6 years you’ll need ⅓ yard of fabric. If you choose to use 60” wide fabric then for all sizes you’ll need ¼ yard of fabric. The other supplies you’ll need are polyester thread, basic sewing supplies, and a sewing machine.

When you purchase this pdf pattern it includes instructions/tutorial with real step-by-step photos and detailed steps including what you will need. All pattern files are Adobe Acrobat Layer compatible, and a seam allowance of ⅜” (1 cm) has been included. The instruction/tutorial is in English, and an A0 copyshop/projector size file is included (with Adobe Acrobat Layer compatibility).

The pdf pattern is compatible with all standard print paper sizes (A4, A3, US Letter, and Legal). You can print the file from your home printer and it will print on multiple sheets that will need to be taped together. The designer tries to minimize the headache by including lots of colors/markers when piecing together. No Serger is required, all you need is a sewing machine that can do a zig-zag and a straight stitch.
