Baby Harvey Tee FREE sewing pattern (0-3 months)

SORRY everyone, unfortunately, the blog for this designer has disappeared! However, we do have hundreds of other FREE patterns for kids if you click HERE.

It’s that time of the week again when we bring you a FREE sewing pattern. This is the Baby Harvey V-Neck T-Shirt sewing pattern that comes in the 0-3 month size. The 0-3 month size works best for 8-13 pound babies.

The shirt is designed to be a casual fit, appropriate for everyday play for girls or boys. The V-Neck helps little heads get through without a lot of pulling.

The Baby Harvey comes with the basic body, both long and short sleeve options, which allows you to use the pattern all year round.

This little project is a quick sew and if you like you can start an assembly line and sew up a handful for your little one, or even for a baby shower.

This pattern is actually the companion to the designer’s full-size Harvey V-Neck pattern, which you can download below, via the red button.

What you will need to make a Baby Harvey V-Neck T-Shirt:-

  • Main fabric – A knit with at least 30% stretch,
  • Accent fabric – A knit with at least 30% stretch,
  • Neckband – A rib knit. If you do not use a rib make sure your knit has excellent recovery for best results,
  • Basic sewing supplies,
  • A sewing machine.

The designer has various tips for knit fabrics, which are:-

  1. If you are sewing with a regular sewing machine choose a zig-zag or lightning stitch. This allows your stitching to
    stretch with your fabric.
  2. Use a ballpoint needle in your machine.
  3. ALWAYS prewash your knits. Maybe twice. Knit will shrink so you want this to happen BEFORE you sew a garment.
  4. For best results use knits of similar weights and stretch in the body and sleeves.
