Most little girls go through a stage in their early life where a doll is very important to them. Well, mums what better way to make that time extra special by making your little angel a bed for her doll.
Here’s the Baby Doll Moses Basket sewing pattern which is brought to you by the designer Sew Simple Home and as a tremendous bonus the pattern is FREE!!
This is a super fun baby doll project. As an extra bonus, the designer has produced a quick (3-minutes 47-seconds) preview YouTube video of the sewing process showing you how the project comes together. You can watch that video by clicking on the play button below.
The designer says her project is really easy to sew and to make sure your Baby Doll Moses Basket is most successful she has a good tip for you. You should make sure to pick good thick interfacing. You can use either fusible interfacing or fleece interfacing. Either will work for this project, but you want to make sure they are nice and stiff to help keep the shape of your bassinet.
Another great tip from the designer to save on fabric is she points out that some of the measurements for the bassinet are extremely long. To use the yardage you have, you can cut several smaller lengths of the middle rectangle, ruffles, or bias tape and sew them together.
