Toddler Aviator Hat FREE sewing pattern

Doesn’t this little guy look fabulous with his Aviator Hat?
The Aviator Hat pdf sewing pattern is FREE from Chelsea at Sew Simple Home.
Chelsea really loves to make outfits for Halloween and this is just one of them. She always tries to make parts or all of her children’s Halloween costumes reusable so that they get to wear them more than just once in a lifetime. Reusable is so much better whether it’s being able to wear it every day or just now and again for dress-up.
She knew that this kind of hat would be absolutely ideal for those cold winter days or even those chilly Autumn and Spring days. She mentions that she looked at a lot of hats and patterns before she finally came up with this tiny Aviator Hat pattern.
This form-fitting and snug hat really does look like a winner to us!
So Chelsea has surely met her target. The Aviator hat works great for dress-up or costumes but also makes a really adorable hat for everyday wearing. It looks super comfortable and of course, it’s fluffy on the inside.
This cap should fit children with heads measuring 20 to 21 inches, which means it should fit most toddlers and small school-age children. Remember this hat should fit snugly but should never be super tight.
If you need to as well you can take out the lining fabric for the hat top to give a bit more “headroom”. Chelsea suggests that you should make a muslin, or practice hat, just so you get the fit right for your child.
