The Origami Dress FREE sewing pattern (size 5-6)
This is the Origami Dress sewing pattern which is FREE.
The Origami Dress pattern is for a long-sleeved dress with a lined bodice and is a size 5-6. It doesn’t have any closures and just slips on over the child’s head.
It’s an intermediate pattern and all seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise stated.
Lisa from Mabey She Made It is the awesome designer of the Origami Dress pattern. The Origami Dress is one of those dresses that Lisa loved for its detail and uniqueness. She began trying to draft something beautiful, but the only problem was that she’d never drafted a pattern before, and something with so many darts and intricacies was a little challenging. However, she loved the results, and so do we. This dress looks stunningly beautiful!
She used some gorgeous prints for her Origami Dress, but you could also choose solid fabrics so the darts stand out on their own without the need for trim.

What will you need to make an Origami Dress (Size 5-6):-
- 2 yards of fabric,
- 1-yard of pretty trim of your choice (optional),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A serger (optional),
- A sewing machine.
