The Alaina Dress comes in three dress styles in one pattern.
Since the designer introduced the Alaina pattern big things have happened. It’s got bigger with a newly expanded size range. The pattern now fits ages 6 months to 6 years.
It’s got buttons and now the designer has added a “buttons in the back option”. So now you can choose between a zipper or buttons.
There are so many design options with this versatile pattern. You can have an adorable “Bow Collar”. Or why not embellish Alaina with two ruffles down the center of the bodice. You can choose from short sleeves, flutter sleeves, or go for the sleeveless option.
If you need to cover up a diaper, the pattern includes instructions and pattern pieces for panties for sizes 6 to 24 months.
The designer rates her sewing project as suitable for advanced beginner-intermediate seamstresses. It’s a quick project for the experienced seamstress.
The pattern comes in NINE sizes as follows:-
- 6-9 months,
- 9-12 months,
- 12-18 months,
- 18-24 months,
- 2 years,
- 3 years,
- 4 years,
- 5 years,
- 6 years.
The pdf pattern includes detailed instructions with illustrations. The files containing the pattern pieces and written instructions and illustrations are designed to be printed on a home desktop printer using standard 8.5″ by 11″ or A4 paper. No enlarging is needed. Uses black ink only. This pattern does not include an A0 format option.
A photo tutorial with large color photos of the sewing steps is provided. For the zipper version, the steps for installing a standard zipper are included. The instructions for this pattern are written in English only.
