The Tessa Girl’s Tiered Skirt Pattern and Skort Pattern features three tiers, optional pockets, three lengths, and optional built-in shorts. Tessa can be sewn with your favorite knit or woven fabrics.
The pattern comes in THIRTEEN sizes as follows:
- 3 months,
- 6 months,
- 12 months,
- 18 months,
- 2T,
- 3T,
- 4T,
- 5 years,
- 6 years,
- 7 years,
- 8 years,
- 10 years,
- 12 years.
For the skirt fabric the designer recommends that you use lightweight knits and wovens (fluid drape preferred) like jersey, rayon, voile etc. For the shorts fabric the designer recommends using lightweight knits with a 50% 4-way stretch. For this sewing project you will also need some 1.5″ elastic if you are going to make a woven waistband. However, if you are going to make a knit waistband then the elastic is optional.
The pattern comes with a full tutorial and color photos in an easy-to-print PDF. Pattern pieces are computer-generated and color-coded for easy cutting. Pattern includes layers so you can just print off the size you need, an A0 format for printing at a copy shop and a projector format.
