You can make these softie toys for your little ones or friends and family.
When the designer created her bear and koala patterns whose bodies and all fours are the same she made them with the same pattern. Of course their heads are different and this is taken into account in the patterns.
Both the Teddy Bear and the Koala are the same size, approximately 40 cm (15¾”) from the top of the head to the sole of the feet.
The designer said in order to complete her sewing project some sewing experience would be helpful.
What’s needed to make the Bear Softie Toy:-
- 45 cm (½ yard) of patterned fabric,
- A 25 cm (10″) by 25 cm (10″) piece of plain fabric,
- A small piece of the felt for the inner ears,
- One safety nose, about 22 mm,
- A set of safety eyes, about 14 mm,
- Four buttons for joining the arms and legs, 15 mm to 22 cm,
- Fiberfill,
- Red embroidery floss.
What’s needed to make the Koala Softie Toy:-
- 45 cm (½ yard) of patterned fabric,
- A 15 cm (6″) by 25 cm (10″) piece of plain fabric,
- A scrap of black fleece for the nose,
- Two black buttons for the eyes,
- Four buttons for joining the arms and legs, 15 mm to 22 cm,
- Black embroidery floss,
- Fiberfill.
