Sweater Romper sewing pattern (Newborn to 5T)
This is the Sweater Romper pdf sewing pattern from the designer Lowland Kids.
You’ll notice that the designer has made her Sweater Romper oversized.
The designer gives you lots of pattern options like a hood/neckband, pocket/no pocket, and a cinched waist or no cinch. For the cinched option there are instructions on adding some length to the bodice for more flounce.
The designer has actually geared this sewing project towards little ones and therefore you’ll notice that the crotch is wide in order to accommodate diapers. She says, however, that the romper still looks adorable on kids without diapers but she suggests that you narrow the crotch. The instructions include a graphic on how to do this so you should keep that in mind when making your size of pattern.
The designer rates her Sweater Romper as suitable for a beginner sewer. She says anyone with a machine can make this romper!
The pattern comes in lots of sizes from newborn to 5T. And the quantity of fabric that you’ll need for each size is as follows:
- Newborn to 12 months = 1 yard.
- 18 months to 5T = 1ΒΌ yards.
The pattern type is pdf and is Letter, A0, and Projector optimized. The pdf includes a layered pattern, fabric/notion requirements, and pictured instructions.
