Scrap Skirt FREE sewing pattern (2-3 years)
|This is the Scrap Skirt FREE sewing pattern from the designer Sew Crafty Me.
Here’s your chance to make this fabulous Scrap Skirt.
If you have a scrap pile then this recycled skirt will be perfect for your little one!
As the designer says – you can mix and match different fabrics to sew a bright and fun-filled skirt. It is designed with a lot of twirl factor to let your little one play and run around in stylish comfort.
The designer has only made this lovely skirt in one size, for a 2 to 3-year-old girl. She says for higher ages, you may increase the number of tiers and the number of blocks in each tier to suit the size.
The finished length of the skirt is 12 inches.
What’s needed to make a Scrap Skirt:
- Fabric scraps or if you don’t have enough fabric scraps then buy a few fat quarter pieces,
- 19″ of 1″ elastic,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
All the fabrics used are 44/45″ width. The seam allowance is ⅜” unless otherwise stated. All seams are to be finished by zig-zag or serger.
