If you have never made a purse with pleats before then this is a great project to get you going. This Pleated Purse is designed for smaller children but you can always upsize it and best of all the tutorial and pattern are FREE.
There is a full step by step written and photo tutorial for you to follow. This makes an ideal small book bag or activity bag for the kids to carry their own things, or a cute shopper bag for them to help you with the groceries.
What you will need to make the Pleated Purse
- 1/2 yard of quilting cotton for the main fabric
- One fat quarter or 1/8 yard of coordinating quilting cotton fabric
- 1/2 yard of medium fusible interfacing
- Basic sewing supplies
- Sewing machine.
