|This is the Petal Wrap Dress and Tunic FREE sewing pattern from the designer Twig + Tale.
This sweet, simple little dress is super-cute! It features an easy a-line shape and pretty rounded petal-shaped panels that cross over at the front and fasten at the sides.
It’s a truly versatile piece that can be made dress or tunic length. The Petal Wrap is also fully reversible, offering two looks in one. You should sew it in lightweight linen or cotton for summer, or cozy wool or corduroy for winter.
This beginner-level pattern comes in sizes from preemie to size 4 which the designer has given us all for FREE. However, if your child is a little older then the designer has an Expansion Pack in sizes 5-10 so older children can have a Petal too! You can download the Expansion Pack by clicking HERE.
As far as suggested fabrics the designer recommends:-
- Exterior = Mid-weight wovens: quilting cotton, linen, light-medium weight wools, corduroy, denim, chambray. Up-cycled shirts and vintage sheets also make lovely petal dresses.
