This Overlap Bodysuit is made to be worn over cloth or disposable nappies/diapers.
The pdf pattern comes in NINE sizes as follows:-
- Preemie,
- Newborn,
- 0-3 months,
- 3-6 months,
- 6-9 months,
- 9-12 months,
- 12-18 months,
- 18-24 months,
- 2-3 years.
So what fabrics does the designer say you should use to make her Overlap Bodysuit? You should use light to medium weight knit fabric with at least 25% stretch. The designer likes to use a good quality knit that contains 5% elastane (spandex or Lycra). And for the ribbing use a fine baby 1:1.
You’ll also need some notions. You should use three sets of either 8mm or 9.5mm metal snap fasteners or size 14 plastic snaps (9.7mm or 3/8”). You’ll also need a ball point sewing needle, twin ball point needle (optional), walking foot (optional), serger (optional), coverstitch machine (optional), stay tape (optional) and co-ordinating thread.
When you purchase this pdf pattern you should print it on your home printer (using either 8 1/2″ by 11″ or A4 paper). A “Layers Function” is included which means you’ll only have to print the size you require.
