This is a FREE sewing pattern for a Long or Short Sleeve Boys Shirt.
There are thousands of patterns for girls and babies but not so much for boys. So we always love it when we can share with you a sewing pattern for boys.
This fantastic Boys Shirt sewing pattern from Small Dream Factory has both a long sleeve and short sleeve version. If you want to sew the shirt with short sleeves or in sizes 6 months through 12 months, you should hem the sleeves instead of finishing off the sleeves with cuffs and sleeve plackets.
What you will need to make a Boys Shirt:-
- Fabric,
- Fusible interfacing,
- Buttons or Kamsnaps,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
There are five FREE sewing pattern sizes available (with your printer set to A4 paper) as follows:-
- US 6-months (EU size 68),
- US 9-months (EU size 74),
- US 12-months (EU size 80),
- US 18-months (EU size 86),
- US 2T (EU size 92).
Also available from Small Dream Factory on their online store are sizes 3T through 14Y.
This is a pdf sewing pattern. You can print the sewing pattern in landscape mode at 100% on A4 paper or US Letter. You can draw the pattern with an aqua trick marker on the back of the fabric. The pattern is without a seam allowance. You should add a 1-cm (5/8 inch) seam allowance. And add a 2-cm (1 inch) seam allowance at the bottom of the sleeves and the bottom of the shirt.
