Little Miss Priss Skirt FREE sewing tutorial (2T-3T)
|This is the Little Miss Priss Skirt FREE sewing tutorial from Ashley of Mommy By Day Crafter By Night.
Ashley made this lovely skirt for her oldest daughter, who she describes as a real “girly girl”. She loves all things girly, ruffly, princessy, etc. Ashley wanted to make this skirt with ruffles again since her daughter loves them so much, but she wanted to do them a little differently. With her Little Miss Priss Skirt, the ruffles are just barely there, but they do add a little fullness to the skirt which is fun. With more twirl factor Ashley had a happy daughter.
Ashley had originally planned to make the Little Miss Priss Skirt as a four-tiered skirt, but once she had the third tier on and held it up to her daughter she realized that another tier would have been too long so she stuck with three.
Ashleys daughter in these pictures was a 2-3T. If you want to make a Little Miss Priss Skirt for a smaller or bigger sized girl then you may need to adjust the fabric measurements/amounts.
What you will need to make a Miss Priss Skirt in size 2-3T:-
- 3-4 different fabrics, 1/8 yard each,
- Elastic for the waistband,
- Trim for the bottom of the skirt,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
