- Use polyester thread. You may also use stretch thread in the bobbin which will help prevent popped seams.

- A double needle is helpful for professional-looking hems.
- Use a walking foot when sewing with knits. This will help them to feed evenly without stretching or getting wonky.
- Do not pull on the fabric as you sew. Gently guide.
- If your fabric is a little wonky or stretched after hemming, hit it with a little steam with an iron and it should smooth right out.
