Knit Bootie sewing pattern (Sizes 0-6)
Here’s a delightful Knit Bootie sewing pattern that comes in seven sizes from US 0 to 6. Actually, this is two Knit Bootie sewing patterns as the designer, Peanut Patterns, has made two very similar Knit Bootie patterns.

The Zion Baby Bootie (sky blue and white picture) has one closure on the top to make taking it on and off a breeze.

The Scout Baby Bootie (green and black picture) has closures on both the left and right sides to make taking it on and off also a breeze.

You can determine your kid’s shoe size by tracing their foot on a piece of paper and measuring the longest and widest section of the foot. Then use the designer’s size chart below to determine your kid’s size.

So which fabric should you use when you make these cute booties? The designer recommends that you use knit fabric that is a light to medium weight cotton. It can be interlock, jersey, or double knit.

What do you need to make these Knit Booties:-

  • Option 1 – same exterior/lining fabric: all sizes – 1/3 yard of fabric (60″ wide),
  • Option 2 – different exterior/lining fabric: all sizes – 1/4 yard of fabric (45″ or 60″ wide) for each side,
  • Knit fusible interfacing: all sizes – 3/4 yard of fabric (20″ wide),
  • Gripper fabric (optional): all sizes – 6½” by 6½” square,
  • Polyester thread,
  • KAM snaps, Velcro, or sew on snaps (depending on preference),
  • Basic sewing supplies,
  • A sewing machine.
