She used a Layer Cake (10″ precut squares) of black and white fabric so she could have some scrappy variety for both the board and the checkers.
What you’ll need to make a Jumbo Sized Checkerboard game:
- One layer cake of black and white 10″ squares,
- 1/4 yard or fat quarter each of solid red and blue,
- 1-1/2 yards of black/white print for the backing and binding,
- HeatnBond Lite Iron-On Adhesive,
- HeatnBond Fusible Fleece,
- HeatnBond Liquid Vinyl,
- Pressing Paper,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
