This dress has a gentle gathering on the front bodice, a rounded “V” neckline, and gathered skirt. The halter strap closes with snaps and the back closes with a zipper.
The designer suggests that you make it in everyday fabrics for a lovely summer dress or make it in special occasion fabrics, perhaps with a lace overlay, for a beautiful formal dress.
This project is suitable for a beginner sewer and the pattern is available FREE in girl’s size 7.
What you will need to make the Girls Halter Neck Dress
- 2 yards of fabric
- 1/4 yard of lining
- Scraps of interfacing 3″ wide
- One 7″ all-purpose zipper
- Coordinating thread
- Two snaps sized 20 – we love KAM snaps for kids clothing
- Basic sewing supplies
- Sewing machine.
